Sequim Washington to Sea of Cortez Mexico 2008-2009

RainShadow III

We left Port Angeles Washington on September 13th 2008 heading for San Diego. Our friend Bob Hogue came along with us on this adventure. We sailed 120 miles off shore from Neah Bay to Drakes Harbor CA. It took us 5 nights 6 days. Our trip was wonderful, cold but wonderful!!

We visited many spots along our way to San Diego and had great fun met great friends.

While in San Diego 4 or our friends/family flew in to sail with us on the Baja Ha Ha race to Cabo.

We had a great time, the weather was fine and the beach parties and new friends were awesome.

During our stay at Cabo our friends/family flew back to Seattle and Brian and I continued sailing. Exploring the Sea of Cortez, Western side. From Cabo to Santa Rosalia, we had a incredible time. We crossed the sea from Santa Rosalia to San Carlos and hauled our boat out at Marina Seca for the season.

We left our hometown of Sequim Wa on Sept. 13th 2008 and flew home from San Carlos April 2009.

Sorry no pictures at this time and not much detail of our trip, Im new to this blogging stuff. We are leaving for San Carlos this Oct. 2010 to put RainShadow III back in the water to continue our exploring of the sea. We look very forward to it and hope to send pictures and keep you updated when we can.
