November 28th, Algadones Beach to Punta Chivato

Left Algadones Beach at 230am and arrived Punta Chivato at 230pm

12 hour crossing, light winds 7-10knots, seas were a bit choppy

We were going to sail but we left the mast steps out and our halyard got tangled up in the steps.  We were really disappointed we looked forward to sailing.  It ended up there really wasn’t enough wind to sail anyway, but the seas were choppy so we flopped around a lot. We decided to pull out the jib and it did help stabilize us a bit. We tried some fishing but caught nothing.  We decided to stay a Punta Chivato and explore the beach there, then head to El Burro 14miles tomorrow.  We went to the beach and it had so many incredible shells the entire beach was covered with them.  We also explored a abandoned building that someone had put a lot of work into and never fininshed.  It was circular with serveral floors and rooms, large beams were in the center the main large room that overlooked the sea. Small bricks were placed along the tops of the concrete walls for design.  Many cool rooms and a view that’s is incredible, wonder what happened and why it was abandoned could be a beautiful unique building.
